The difference between LCD video wall and LED video wall

First of all, LCD video walls and LED video walls are two completely different concepts.
LCD is a liquid crystal screen, used for display;

LED refers to Light Emitting Diode, and the LED we are talking about refers to a liquid crystal display that uses light-emitting diodes as a light source. The liquid crystal itself does not emit light and needs another light source to shine. Now you can use LED as a backlight source, so there is LED video wall.

OLED is the same as LCD. OLED is an organic light-emitting diode, which can be used for display. OLED does not need a backlight. It emits light and displays color by itself, which can replace LCD. At present, OLED is mostly used for mobile phone screen display ( Such as ultra-thin mobile phones).

1. Application
Different LEDs are basically used for advertising. They are mainly used for playing videos, pictures, and text. LEDs are used for press conferences, evening parties, shopping mall advertising screens, and store text bar screens.
The LCD splicing screen is mainly used for surveillance video display, meeting rooms, exhibitions and other occasions, which is due to its split screen, support for multi-signal input, and achieve high-definition resolution display, close-up clarity is higher.

2. Installation environment
Since the liquid crystal itself is not waterproof, it is mainly used indoors; while LEDs can be used in various occasions, both indoors and outdoors;

3. Patchwork
LCD splicing screens have splicing gaps of different sizes, ranging from 3.5 to 0.88mm on both sides, so there will be physical black borders between the screen and the screen after splicing, which will affect the viewing effect when the whole screen displays a picture; and LED There will be no such worries, no matter how spliced, the LED display has no black borders;

4. Different display effects
Different LED dot pitches result in different resolutions and different display effects. At present, the dot pitch ranges from 10mm to 1mm. The smaller the dot pitch, the clearer the display. The resolution of a single LCD splicing screen is 1920*1080, and the resolution can be superimposed after the screen is spliced. Therefore, the LCD splicing screen has a higher resolution, which is more suitable for playing high-definition film sources, and is clearer when viewed close up. , There is no mosaic phenomenon.

5. Different after-sales rates
The LCD splicing screen technology is very stable, the average life span can reach more than 60,000 hours, and it can be turned on and displayed for 24 hours continuously. As long as the panel is not impacted by external forces, there will be few after-sales problems. The LED is not the case. It has a certain dead light rate. Some lamp beads on the module will turn black or red. As time goes by, the probability of this dead light will become higher and higher, which will seriously affect Display effect, if you want to repair it can only be removed and re-welded or replaced, the after-sale rate is higher
.
6. Power consumption
The splicing screen of the same size and area has much lower power consumption than the LED screen. The splicing screen supports power-off and power-off at will, but the LED does not. Summary: So we choose to use LED or LCD splicing screen basically can be analyzed from the above several, if it is used indoors, display monitoring or multiple computer content can be spliced with LCD, if it is used outdoors, or indoor remote viewing Use LEDs. The eyes will have a very obvious burning sensation when watching LED for a long time. It is recommended to use LCD splicing screen in the meeting room. The color/contrast/long-time viewing effect is much better than that of LED.

Whether it is an LED video wall or an LCD video wall, you should choose it according to the actual usage. In iSEMC, you can get a quotation for two video walls;
